Spring Island home featured as WSJ’s House of the Day

The Wall Street Journal features a Spring Island home on Tidal Creek Lane as House of the Day. This South Carolina waterfront home at 7 Tidal Creek, listed at $2.75 million, belongs to Tom Cameron, chairman of the money management company Divided Growth Advisors.

Cameron and his wife built their home at 7 Tidal Creek in 1994. The 5,700-square-foot house is located on five and a half acres. In the main home, there are five bedrooms, five bathrooms and four fireplaces. The guest house features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an artist’s studio and workshop.

Wall Street Journal writer Sushil Cheema spoke with Cameron about his South Carolina waterfront home:

There is a boat dock with an electric lift, as well as marsh and creek views. “You can see water on three-quarters of the edge of the property at high tide. It’s pretty spectacular,” Mr. Cameron says.

Cameron and his wife moved to Spring Island partly because of the golf. This South Carolina golf community features a golf course, Old Tabby Links, designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay. While Cameron is selling his house, he plans to remain a member of Spring Island to use the world-class golf course.

Spring Island is a 3,000-acre Lowcountry golf community located 25 minutes from Hilton Head and Beaufort, and 30 minutes by boat from Port Royal Sound and the open Atlantic Ocean. Spring Island offers the finest man and nature can offer, including Hilton Head golf course homes, championship golf, world-class freshwater and saltwater fishing, equestrian facilities, tennis, quail hunting, naturalist courses, fine and casual dining options, and a wide variety of educational pursuits.
