Trent Jones of Hall and Hall represented the buyer, Harry Hagey, who is the former CEO of Dodge & Cox Funds, an investment-management company.
Candace Jackson writes:
The ranches, which have a total of 4,600 acres, were owned by local developers who purchased them in 2005 with plans to build a residential development. Construction never began. About a half-hour drive from the Sun Valley ski resort, the land is home to wildlife and a river known for its trout fishing.
Hall and Hall’s Jones says Hagey and his wife intend to use the ranches for conservation and recreation.
Hall and Hall is a ranch real estate company that emphasizes land stewardship and a long-term land ethic.
